The initiatory meeting of the old timers of Sedalia at the criminal court room last night was a gratifying success.

O. A. Crandall was elected temporary president and A. P. Morey temporary secretary.

The following gentlemen were appointed a committee on resolutions and by-laws and to report at the next meeting to be held at the court house on Monday evening, January 8, 1894: Col. Richard Ritter, C. G. Taylor, J. West Goodwin, R. H. Moses, and John Montgomery, Jr.

Addresses were made by O. A. Crandall, John D. Crawford, Doc McClure, J. West Goodwin, Colonel Ritter, F. A. Sampson, and J. M. Byler.

A Bazoo representative made a canvass among a number of the gentlemen present and obtained the following sketches:

H. W. Anderson, Litchfield, Ill., came to Sedalia in September, 1865.
R. W. Barnett, Ohio county, Kentucky, came to Sedalia May 26, 1866.
William Beck, Hamburg, Germany, came to Pettis county in 1858, and soon afterwards to Sedalia.
David Blocher, Peru, Indiana, came to Sedalia March 12, 1867.
Peter Brandt, Hanover, Germany, came to Pettic county in 1858, to Sedalia in 1865.
J. S. Brickle, Maysville, Kentucky, came to Sedalia in October 1866.
N. J. Brigham, Tompkins county, New York, came to Sedalia in 1866.
J. M. Byler, Cooper county, Missouri, came to Sedalia May 15, 1865.
Albert Callis, McHenry county, Illinois, came to Sedalia in 1866.
A. L. Casebeer, Bureau county, Illinois, came to Sedalia June 20, 1876.
Jonas F. Cooper, Morgan county, Virginia, came to Sedalia in March 1861.
O. A. Crandall, Syracuse, N.Y., came to Sedalia January 4, 1869.
W. D. Crawford, Pettis county, Mo., settled in Sedalia in 1860.
Dr. H. E. Depp, Barron county, Kentucky, came to Sedalia in 1863.
Dr. E. C. Evans, Washington, D.C., came to Pettis county in 1834, to Sedalia in 1873.
T. A. Fowler, Boone county, Missouri, came to Pettis county in 1840, to Sedalia in 1886.

William Hendricks, Dade county, Mo., came here in 1863. He was the first newsboy in Sedalia.
Frank Hulland, Cole Camp, Missouri, came to Sedalia in November 1860.
Joseph Ibig, Brown county, Illinois, came to Sedalia in 1866.
C. W. Jackson, Georgetown, Mo., came to Sedalia August 5, 1864.
Charles Kiefer, Pennsylvania, came to Sedalia in 1862.
H. N. Knapp came to Sedalia in August, 1863.
J. M. Logan, Shelby county, Kentucky, came to Sedalia in November 1865.
E. R. Marvin, Henry county, Missouri, came to Sedalia March 25, 1866.
D. W. Matheny, Marshall county, Kentucky, came to Sedalia May 10, 1872.
William Matthews, Springfield, Massacchusetts, came to Sedalia in December1868.
J. B. McClure, Boone county, Missouri, came to Sedalia in 1858.
John McCurdy, Bourbon county, Kentucky, came to Sedalia September 29, 1857.
C. McVey came from St. Louis in October 1856.
R. H. Moses, Winnebago county, Illinois, came to Sedalia in February, 1866.
W. H. Moss, Montgomery county, Illinois, came to Sedalia in 1871.
W. S. Murphy, southwest Missouri, came to Sedalia in September, 1865.
Frank Newton, Vinton county, Ohio, came to Sedalia in April 1866.
B. H. Offutt, Scott county, Kentucky, came to Pettis county in 1857 and ran the first hotel ever in Sedalia.
J. W. Orcutt, Richland county, Illinois, came to Pettis county in December 1861.
Joseph Pudget, England, came to Sedalia in February, 1861.
W. R. Reynolds, east Tennessee, came to Sedalia November 9, 1865.
Richard Ritter, Mason county, Illinois, came to Sedalia in December 1865.
F. A. Sampson, Harrison county, Ohio, came to Sedalia in 1868.
L. C. Thompson, Boonville, Missouri, came to Sedalia in May 1866.
Clark Vaughn, Pike county, Missouri, came to Sedalia 25 years ago.
Monroe Whitmire, Stark county, Ohio, came to Sedalia October 11, 1866.
J. J. Wilson, Vigo, Indiana, came to Sedalia in 1867.
C. M. Woodward, Schuyler county, N.Y., came to Sedalia January 4, 1869.
C. Yopst, Cass county, Indiana, came to Sedalia October 24, 1865.
