Farrie L. Cole Sr., 83, died in Charles Still Hospital at Jefferson City, Wednesday morning.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Otterville.  Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Sedalia.  Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Ewing Funeral Home, Sedalia.

Mr. Cole was born near Bunceton April 7, 1892, the son of Holbert and Sallie Ann Solomon Cole.  He was a great-great-grandson of Boonslick pioneer woman Hannah Cole, who settled near present-day Boonville in 1810.  Mr. Cole lived in Cooper County most of his life and was a rural mail carrier for 40 years, retiring in 1957.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mattie L. Cole of the home; a son Rev. Farrie Cole Jr. of Otterville; three sisters and three brothers.
