Sedalia Democrat ROBERT F. FORSBERGRobert F. (Bob) Forsberg, 73, of 709 South Engineer, died Tuesday morning at Rest Haven nursing home. He was born Dec. 5, 1912, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, son of Harold E. & Edna M. (Bundy) Forsberg. He moved to Sedalia in 1921, where he was raised and educated. He had been employed by Missouri Pacific railroad, retiring in 1977. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591. He also belonged to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen Nos. 958 and 622, Sedalia; and the American Association of Retired Persons. Mr. Forsberg is survived by his wife, Lillian L. Heckrodt, whom he married on Jan 15, 1944; a son, Terry L. Forsberg, Portland, Conn.; two half brothers, Richard P. Coats, 1223 East Ninth; Jack E. Coats, South Gate, Calif.; and a grandson. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.Thrusday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. H. J. Hudson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Petre, Wiley Walters, Larry Owens, Dean Owens, and Steve Stubbs.
