Flarence Gardner Dead

Funeral services for Flarence C. Gardner, 75 of Sedalia, who passed away at the Alex Van Ravensway clinic in Boonville Sunday morning, were held at the St. Paul's Lutheran church in Sedalia, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Rayward of Boonville officiated.

Mrs. E. J. Thomas and Mrs. Fred Albers sang, "Heaven Is My Home" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus."

Pallbearers were Claus Bruns, G. B. Cook, Phillip Bergmann, Fred Koeller, Lawrence Gardner, and Dick Haase.

Burial was in the Crown Hill cemetery.

Flarence C. Gardner was born in Benton County April 6, 1868, a son of the late Charles and Fredricka Gardner. His childhood was spent in and near Cole Camp. He was united in marriage with Miss Katie Tietjen of Cole Camp and in 1910 the couple moved to Sedalia, where he became a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church.

He is survived by his wife and the following children: Jess F. Gardner of Shawnee, Kas.; Mrs. Pauline Weil of Kingston, N.Y.; Leonard F. Gardner and Mrs. Elsie Detmer of Kansas City, Kans. and Theodore F. Gardner and Mrs. Lottie Kell, wife of Glen Kell of Sedalia. Thirty-six grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
