Alma Griffitts, 74, La Monte, died Tuesday afternoon, May 10, 1983, at Bothwell Hospital.

She was born Jan. 18, 1909, in La Monte, daughter of Andrew M. and Ethel Dryer Molloy. On Jan. 23, 1926, in Marshall, she married Arthur L. Griffitts, who died in 1980.

Mrs. Griffitts had resided in La Monte for the past 15 years and had worked for a number of years at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Concordia. She was a member of the La Monte Christian Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Violet Murray, La Monte; three stepsons, Ed Griffitts, Raymond Griffitts, both of Springfield, Ill.; Robert Griffitts, Russellville, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Rozella Burnside, Springfield, Ill.; one sister, Florean Tebbenkamp, Concordia; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church with Brother Bill McCoy officiating.

Burial will be in the La Monte Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Moore Funeral Home, La Monte.

The family suggests contributions to the Show-Me Christian Youth Home.
