MRS. DORETTA KOELLER DIES

Former Resident of Near Cole Camp Passed Away in Sedalia

Mrs. Doretta Koeller, widow of the late John H. Keller, former residents of near this city, passed away at 12:20 o'clock Friday morning in Sedalia at the home of her son, Fred Koeller, following a lingering illness. She attained an age of 78 years and 13 days.

Mrs. Koeller, nee Gardner, was born in the Lake Creek vicinity, September 8, 1856. In the year 1876 she united in marriage with John Henry Koeller. Ten children, six boys and four girls, were born to this union of whom two daughters preceded their mother in death. For many years they lived on a farm near Cole Camp, moving to Sedalia about fourteen years ago to make their home with their son, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Koeller.

Her husband passed away on December 27, 1928. She leaves to mourn her death the following children: John and Charles Koeller of near Cole Camp; Fred, Ernest, Lewis and Theodore Koeller of Sedalia; Maggie, Mrs. Henry Steffens, and Dora, Mrs. Ernest Kohrs, both of near Cole Camp. She is also survived by one brother, Florence Gardner of Sedalia, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Haase of near Cole Camp.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family residence and at the St. Paul's Lutheran church with the Rev. H.H. Heidbreder, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the family lot in Crown Hill cemetery at Sedalia beside the graveof her husband.

Pallbearers were six nephews: Herbert Young, John Buckley, Ted Gardner, Rudolph Haase, Henry Haase and Dick Haase.
