Pettis County, Mo., Obituary

Mrs. Louisa Koeller passed away at the Campbell Rest Home in Sedalia at 3:30 o'clock Friday morning at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 19 days. She had been ill the past two months and had entered the rest home three weeks ago.

Funeral services were held at the Eickhoff Funeral Home at 1:20 Monday afternoon, with the Rev. Arthur E. Schmidt, pastor of the United Ev. Lutheran Church, officiating. Mrs. Della Gasperson sang, "Whispering Hope" and "In The Garden," playing her own accompaniment.

Pallbearers were: Elmer Steffens, Lawrence Koeller, Donnie Young, Ferdinand Schutte, Albert Koeller and Bill Hanna.

Burial was in Memorial Park, Sedalia.

Mrs. Louisa Koeller, nee Young, was born on a farm in the Mt. Hulda community south of Cole Camp on March 16, 1879. She was a daughter of the late Isiac and Adelheid Schutte Young. She was baptized in infancy.

In 1898 she was united in marriage with Bill Lafayette. One son was born to this union. Mr. Lafayette preceded her in death. On October 28, 1906 she was united in marriage with Charles Koeller. The couple resided on a farm in the Cole Camp community until 1948 when they moved to Cole Camp. Six children were born to this union.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Koeller of the home in Cole Camp; one son Richard Lafayette by the first marriage and three sons, Fred Koeller, Florence Koeller and Clarence Koeller all of Cole Camp and three daughters, Dora, Mrs. John Buckley of Ames, Iowa; Nora, Mrs. J.E. Spencer, Ames, Iowa; and Clara, Mrs. Paul Nichols of Sedalia; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. One sister and three brothers preceded her in death.
