Pettis County, Mo., Obituary

Elmer Lane died Saturday evening, November 26, 1983, at Fitgibbon Hospital, Marshall. He was born August 29, 1905, in Beaman, Mo., son of Harrison James and Roena Phillips Lane. On August 31, 1929, in Marshall, he married Nellie Mae McBain, who died in 1966.

Mr. Lane had lived in Sedalia all of his life. He was self-employed as a truck driver in the gravel hauling business.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Harold Yeager, Sedalia; Mrs. William E. Collins, Sedalia; Mrs. James M. Miller, Fort Worth, Texas; fourteen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Visitation was from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Ewing Funeral Home. Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Ewing Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Catlett officiating. Burial was in the Crown Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Anthony W. Collins, Kevin Lee Collins, Chris Yeager, Russell Lane, Kirt A. Collins, and Emmett Vaught.
