Mrs. Luella McCune

Mrs. Luella McCune, 83, LaMonte, died at the Campbell Nursing Home at 7:45 p.m. Saturday. She had been ill for the past three years.

Mrs. McCune was born in Pettis County near LaMonte, Dec. 29, 1875, the daughter of the late William and Emaline Brim Duke. She has lived all her life in Pettis County.

She was married at LaMonte, April 27, 1910, to Harry L. McCune. They were the parents of three children.

Mr. and Mrs. McCune lived near LaMonte during their early married life, later moving to a farm southeast of Sedalia where they resided for 17 years. They returned to LaMonte to reside in 1938. Mr. McCune died Nov. 7, 1943.

Mrs. McCune was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Mrs. O. W. Clabaugh, who died in 1928.

She was a member of the LaMonte Christian Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Miss Ruth McCune, Independence, Mo.; two sons, Arthur McCune, 1302 East Sixth Street; William P. McCune, Route 1, Sedalia; one sister, Mrs. Emma Kerby Duffer, LaMonte; one brother, A. W. Duke, Meeker, Okla. Seven grandchildren and one great-grandson also survives.

Funeral services will be held at the Christian Church in LaMonte at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Roy Smith, pastor, will officiate.

Burial will be in the LaMonte Cemetery.

The body is at the Ewing Funeral Home.
