CLARENCE S. POTTER

Clarence S. Potter, 83, 403 East 19th, died at 7:50 a.m. Thursday at the Brooking Park Geriatrics Center. He was born March 5, 1895, in Cooper County, son of the late Grant and Katherine Frank Potter. He was a lifelong resident of the Sedalia community. He was a farmer and a blacksmith helper for the Missouri Pacific Shops. He was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church.

Mr. Potter was married to Bertha A. Schroeder in 1952, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 31, 1977. Survivors include a son, Clarence Potter, Lancaster, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Mable Holman, 923 Olsen Drive; Mrs. Mae Dugan, 519 West Third; Mrs. Julia Kell, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Dee Dee Decorpo, Englewood, Calif.; a brother, George Potter, Del Ray Beach, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Heckart-Gillespie Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Orval Woolery officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Grace, Robert Holman, Ed McMullin, O. A. Potter, Herbert Richards and Clay Thomas.
