Sedalia Democrat Zeke F. RossZeke F. Ross, 81, lifelong resident of the Beaman community, died at the Bothwell Hospital at 7:25 a.m. Thursday. He had been a patient at the hospital for the past 16 days. Mr. Ross was born Feb. 12, 1877, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Ross. He lived all of his life in Pettis County in the Beaman community, engaging in farming. He was married in 1900 to Miss Mollie Wadley. They were parents of nine children. One son, Oliver Ross, died in 1918 and Mrs. Ross died September 4, 1940. Mr. Ross was married at Sedalia December 25, 1942, to Miss Mamie Necessary, Smithton, who survives. Also surviving are five daughters and three sons by his first marriage, Mrs. R. S. Shull, Mrs. Brancie Hummer, Mrs. Homer Amos, all of LaPorte, Ind.; Mrs. Mary Hopkins, Ridgeville, Ind.; Mrs. Earl Lash, Harrisonville, Mo.; Zeke Ross, Cold Water, Ohio; John Ross, of La Monte, and George Ross, 109 Dundee, Sedalia; one sister, Mrs. Ellie Harper, Kirksville. Thirty-eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be at the Ewing Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Harry Hansen, pastor of the East Boonville Street Mission, will officiate. The body is at the Ewing Funeral Home.
