Pettis County, Mo., Obituary

Ethel Jane Wheeler, 76 of 1400 East Third, Sedalia, died Sunday evening, April 17, 1983, at Bothwell Hospital, Sedalia. She was born October 11, 1906, in Cooper County, daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Matilda Lindsey Spries. On March 31, 1927, in Sedalia, she married Corben H. Wheeler, who died in 1971.Mrs. Wheeler lived most of her life in Sedalia and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Henry Wheeler, Sedalia; Corben Leroy Wheeler, Great Falls, Mont.; one daughter, Norma Jane Coffey, Lincoln; two sisters, Essie Row, Pueblo, Colo.; Daisy Walker, Sedalia; twelve grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ewing Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Catlett officiating.Burial was in the Crown Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mike Wheeler, Ronald Wheeler, Timothy Wheeler, Jeffery Wheeler, Daniel Coffey, and Joseph Logan.
