Sedalia Daily Democrat Dr. Shattuck DeadDr. A. C. Jones, of this city, received a dispatch from Carthage ____, announcing the death of our former town min. M.V.B. Shattuck. He died yesterday morning at w___ p___. No particulars given. We learn that the body will be here tomorrow night, and that the service will take place on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Calvary Episcopal Church. After we shall have obtained the particulars of his death we shall have more to say about him. Dr. Shattuck had many friends in this city who will be pained to hear of his sudden death. They all tender to the bereaved wife and child their sincere sympathy. Tuesday, Feb 23, 1875, p. 4 The Funeral of Dr. ShattuckThe body of Dr. Shattuck arrived from Carthage last night. Mrs. Shattuck and child, with Dr. Wilson, of Carthage, accompanied the remains. The funeral services will take place this afternoon, at the Calvary Chapel. Rev. Abiel Leonard, officiating. Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1875, p. 4 The Funeral of Dr. ShattuckThe funeral services of the late Dr. Shattuck were held at Calvary Chapel yesterday at 2 p.m., the pastor Rev. Abiel Leonard officiating. After the services the remains were conducted to the city cemetery by a large concourse of citizens, consisting largely of old friends and neighbors. Dr. Shattuck was well and favorably known to the community, and had many warm friends, who sorrow deeply at his early demise. The bereaved wife has the sympathy of our community in her great loss.
