Pettis County, Mo., Obituary

The funeral obsequies of Mrs. Clara Belle Wise, formerly Miss Dunn(?) of this city, was observed yesterday afternoon at the Congregational Church, Mr. J. M. Van Wagner officiating. A year ago Mrs. Wise was a Member of the Congregational Church, but married and moved to Kansas City. Her many charms of merit and person, her true womanly character, won for her a large circle of friends. The church was filled with them, who came to pay the last tribute of friendship. The evidences of grief were numerous and touching, and the whole congregation filed past the coffin to take a last look at the face, which was turned toward eternity.

Mr. Van Wagner delivered a sermon full of tender sentiments and replete with solemn and suggestive thought. The remains were interred in the city cemetery.
