I, William Dorsey of the County of Pettis & State of Missouri make & ordain this my last will & testament to wit:

I give & bequeath to my beloved wife Margaret A Dorsey all of my Estate consisting of lands negroes & personal property (after my just debts are paid) for the benefit of herself & my children during her natural life & at her death all is to be sold & equally divided among my children. Given under my hand & Seal this 4 day of February 1863 and I do hereby constitute & appoint my wife & my friend Jno T Major executors of this my last will & testament if the law permits I wish my executors to be excused from giving security on their Executor bonds this day & date above written.

Signed in presence of the undersigned as Witnesses: Thos. Montgomery, Wm.Gentry

The last will and Testament of Wm. Dorsey was this day presented in open Court & thereupon comes Thos. J. Montgomery & Wm Gentry the two subscribing witnesses thereto who after being duly sworn state that they signed their names as witnesses thereto in presence of the Testator & of each other & that the said testator acknowledged the said instrument to be his last will & testament on this day of their attestation thereto & that they believe the said Testator was of sound mind & of disposing memory. Thereupon the said will is admitted to Probate & ordered for Record. Given under hand & Seal of said Court this 3 day of March 1863. Sam A Lowe Clk by John Montgomery DC
