Will of Jonathan S. GlassPettis County, Missouri I, Jonathan S Glass of the County of Pettis and State of Missouri, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament. I hereby will and bequeath to my beloved wife Lucy Jane Glass all my property, real, personal and mixed consisting of the following to wit: One farm on which I now live containing one hundred and forty acres being the North West qr of South East qr of Section Twenty Two in Township Forty Eight Range Twenty One, also Twenty acres off of the southeast qr of South West qr of Sec Twenty two township Forty Eight Range Twenty one to be taken off the north end thereof also the South east qr of South east qr of section Thirty township Forty eight range twenty containing forty acres more or less, all in the County of Pettis and State of Mo. Also sixty head of hogs, five head of horses, five head of mule colts, six head of cows, one waggon and all the household and Kitchen furniture and farming utensils belonging to the above describe farm, also one note for the sum of Seven Hundred and forty five dollars on A.H. Forbes of Pettis County to have and to hold the above described property for these express purposed to wit: I desire my children William and Sarah and Saline & Rebecca and Cordelia who are not yet of lawful age to be educated out of my estate, and when said children shall become of age, I desire my wife to give to each the sum of Four hundred and Twenty Five dollars, I having already given to my two sons James and Samuel who are of lawful age the said sum of Four hundred & twenty five dollars. I give and bequeath to my said beloved wife the residue of the same to be held and disposed of she may see proper among all my children, and I hereby constitute and appoint my said wife Lucy Jane my sole executrix of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by and made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 16th day of October 1860. Signed and declared to be the last will and testament in the presents of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses. Jesse McMahan, C.H. Be it remembered that on this 31st day of October 1860 personally appeared before the undersigned Clerk of the Pettis County Court, Jesse McMahan and Curtis H. Field, the subscribing witnesses in the annexed will of Jonathan S. Glass and being by me first duly sworn, depose and say that the said Jonathan S Glass the testator subscribed the same and declared in their presence that he had subscribed the same published the said will or instrument of writing as his last will, that he the said testator was at the time of publishing his said will of sound mind and more than twenty one years of age and that they the said deponents attested the said will as witnesses thereto by subscribing their names to the same in the presence of said testator.
